Photorealistic visualizations that breathe life into your residential projects
So your clients can understand and connect with the design before it's built
Great architecture deserves to be understood
Architectural visualization isn't just about creating beautiful images. It's about communicating proportion, materials, atmosphere, and the ideas behind the design.
When those qualities come across clearly, clients make decisions with more confidence, presentations become more compelling, and the architecture speaks for itself.
Breaking Clouds creates photorealistic residential visualizations that stay true to the design, from the overall composition down to the smallest details.
Hi, I’m Cătălin
I'm an architect and interior designer with 15 years of residential design experience, including the past 7 years specializing in architectural visualization.
Before focusing on visualization full-time, I worked directly with homeowners, builders, and developers. That experience taught me how residential projects evolve, from the first sketches to the final details, and how important clear communication is throughout the process.
Today, I bring that perspective into every rendering I create. My focus isn't just realism, it's understanding the design, choosing the right views, and creating images that communicate the architecture accurately and naturally.
Whether the images are used for presentations, planning, marketing, or sales, the goal is always the same: to help people understand the project with confidence.
Built around residential professionals
Architects and designers
When drawings need to be easily understood by clients, investors, or planning authorities, strong visuals help communicate the design and support faster decisions.
Custom home builders
For model homes, custom residences, and client presentations, visuals help buyers understand the project before construction begins and create stronger marketing material.
Residential developers
From pre-sales and investor decks to planning submissions and marketing campaigns, clear visualization helps projects move forward with confidence.

Testimonials
“Working with Breaking Clouds was effortless. Unlike so many architectural visualization companies, they required very little coordination and produced high quality images ahead of schedule. They are an easy choice when precision and craft are required to bring a project from paper to life.”

“Cătălin is not only an excellent 3D artist, but, perhaps more importantly, a superb communicator. He took the time to clearly articulate his questions, ensuring that all uncertainties were addressed and that the final images captured the tone I was aiming for. His attention to detail, combined with a seemingly intuitive grasp of composition and depth, gave me full confidence to work with him again.”

“Working with Cătălin was a key part of building LifeEdited from the beginning.
He brought a thoughtful approach to design and a strong sense of visual storytelling to every project. Whether we were developing early concepts or finalizing presentation renderings, his input consistently clarified the design direction and strengthened the final result.
His ability to think spatially, solve tricky layout challenges, and communicate ideas through photorealistic renderings made him a trusted and essential part of our team for years.”

Frequently Asked Questions
-
I mainly work on residential architecture, from single-family homes to small multi-unit developments and design-led prefab or modular projects. Most collaborations are with architects, designers, and boutique developers who already have a clear design and need strong visuals to communicate it.
-
Architectural studios and residential developers who care about design quality and accuracy, and want imagery that supports decisions, presentations, or marketing, not just something that looks good at first glance.
-
Both, depending on the project.
Sometimes I step in purely for visualization, other times I’m involved earlier, helping refine materials, layouts, or overall direction where design and imagery overlap. -
I work in a structured but flexible way that keeps the visuals aligned with the design intent from start to finish. We review things early, adjust where needed, and only move forward once everything feels right. This avoids unnecessary revisions and ensures the final images accurately represent the project and are ready to be used with confidence.
-
Smaller scopes can take a few days to a week. More complex projects usually take up to two weeks. I’ll always confirm timing upfront so there are no surprises.
-
My background in residential architecture and interior design helps me catch issues early and stay aligned with the design intent, not just the visuals.
-
Typically one or two rounds, depending on scope. If more changes are needed, that’s never a problem, they’re just handled transparently.
-
Final images are usually delivered at 6K–8K resolution, suitable for presentations, websites, and print. If a lower resolution makes more sense for speed or budget, we can adjust.
-
Yes. The cost of high-quality 3D assets and textures required to produce the images is included in my fees. These assets are used as part of the visualization process and are not delivered separately as standalone files. There are no unexpected add-ons later.
-
Pricing depends on complexity, number of images, and how the visuals will be used.
That can be per image, per package, or hourly for more design-driven work. You’ll always get a clear estimate before anything starts. -
I don’t usually offer financial discounts, but ongoing collaborations naturally allow for added value. This can take the form of extra visuals, additional revision rounds, or a bit of extra time spent on the project, depending on the scope. The focus stays on improving the end result rather than reducing quality to meet a lower price.
-
Typically plans, elevations, sections, or a 3D model, along with material references and any visual direction. If something is unclear, I flag it early rather than guessing.
